Every year, right around the first week of December, my phone lights up with the same text: "Any chance you have something before the 24th?" I always wish I could say yes to every single one of you. The truth is that the holiday weeks fill up first, and the clients who plan a little ahead are the ones who walk into every party feeling relaxed and gorgeous.
So this year I want to make it easy. Here is the simple timeline I share with my own clients so your hair looks its best from Thanksgiving dinner all the way to the New Year's toast.
Six to eight weeks out: color and big changes
If you are thinking about going darker, brighter or adding dimension, this is the window. Booking color early gives your hair time to settle, lets us fine tune the tone if needed and means you are never stressing about a last-minute change. For a mid-December event, that means booking now in early November.
Two to three weeks out: your cut
A fresh cut looks its best once it has had a week or two to relax into place. It is also the perfect time to trim away any summer dryness so your ends look polished in photos.
Three to five days out: gloss or touch-up
A Gloss Colorance service or a quick root touch-up right before a big event brings back the shine and refreshes your tone so your color looks brand new. It is one of my favorite holiday secrets.
Day of: the blowout
For your biggest night, a professional Blowout and Style takes all the pressure off. You get smooth, bouncy hair that lasts, and you get to sit back and relax instead of wrestling with a round brush at home.
A friendly reminder about scheduling
Because the holiday calendar is so full, I kindly ask for at least 72 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. That allows me to offer your time to another client who has been hoping for an opening. Thank you for helping me take care of everyone this season.
Let's plan your season together
Whether you are hosting Thanksgiving in Windsor, heading to a holiday party in Santa Rosa or celebrating New Year's in wine country, I would love to help you feel your most confident. Take a look at my services, pick the moments that matter most to you, and let's get you on the calendar.
